NO CLASSES for Middle School and Confirmation
Join Archbishop Gomez of Los Angeles, several other Southern California bishops, and thousands of people at OneLife LA on January 17, 2015: the first-ever large-scale event in downtown LA promoting the beauty and dignity of every human life from conception to natural death.
Buses will be departing from 10 parishes across the Diocese of San Diego to make it easy for local Catholics to participate in this event. A round-trip transportation to OneLife LA is available. (Cost is just $25 per person.)
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. at La Placita Olvera. Participants will walk through Los Angeles, ending in Grand Park with a family-friendly picnic featuring music, entertainment, speakers, food trucks, and exhibits from local organizations serving those in need.
OneLife LA invites all people to join together in declaring their commitment to valuing and protecting all human life, particularly the most vulnerable in our community—including the unborn, the dying, the homeless, victims of trafficking, and the disabled.
St. Charles Parish is participating in this event and a round-trip bus will be available. You can purchase a ticket at the following website: www.OneLifeLABus.org.

Do you find it easy to pray?
For most of us, prayer becomes a source of frustration as we struggle to calm our minds and to find even a few minutes to pray. In our busy lives, prayer is seen as a luxury, when in reality it is at the foundation of a healthy spiritual life.
The good news is that you can overcome your difficulties with prayer, and it is easier than you might think.
