The Legion of Mary is an international Catholic organization of lay apostolate of men and women who sanctify themselves through prayer and apostolic work in union with the Blessed Virgin Mary. It originated in Dublin, Ireland for the purpose of making its members better Catholics, to mobilize the Catholic laity, and to raise the spiritual level of the entire community through evangelization of every member of the Mystical Body of Christ.
